Be it Tech, Sports, Elections or any other field, many have termed Year 2016 as a roller coaster ride. But what Year 2017 will bring in is still unknown! We need to see how various tech trends unfold over the time but one thing is for certain - that is Encryption would go mainstream.

On one side 2016 has witnessed some of the biggest data breaches like that of Yahoo, FBI Employee lists, Verizon, Linkedin and National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) while on other, companies like Apple and Whatsapp have upped the ante on encryption technology. The New York Times, for instance, now accepts news tips via the encrypted app Signal and more and more companies are following the trend to secure their communications.

Efforts in tech sector are at all time high to provide better security to customers over their conversations or transactions. Whether be it a messaging app, banking app, travel app or any other industry focussed service, data encryption holds the crux of security measures that could be provided over any such platform.
